Coastal Signs is pleased to present Chemistry, a two-person exhibition featuring new paintings and works on paper by Emma McIntyre and new photographs by Timothy Webby.

Emma McIntyre (b. 1990) graduated with a BVA (Painting) from AUT University in 2011, and an MFA from University of Auckland's Elam School of Fine Arts in 2016. In 2019 she was awarded a Fulbright General Graduate award to study an MFA at ArtCenter College of Design, Pasadena, that she completed in 2021. Recent solo exhibitions include: Syllables in Oleander, Air de Paris, Paris (2025); Among my Swan, David Zwirner, Hong Kong (2025), Objects or Vapours, Coastal Signs @ 40 Anzac Ave, Auckland (2024); An echo, a stain, David Zwirner, New York (2023); and Pearl Diver, Château Shatto, Los Angeles (2023). Emma lives and works in Los Angeles.

Timothy Webby (b. 1993) graduated with a BFA (Hons) from Auckland's Elam School of Fine Arts in 2015. Recent solo exhibitions include: The Platonic Rose, Robert Heald Gallery, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington (2025); Exhibit, Treadler, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland (2024); and The Lonely Planet, Robert Heald Gallery, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington (2024). Timothy lives and works in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
